Solution

Tools required:

  • Charger key
  • T25 Torx set
  • UFC 200 cable spanner - part number (PN) 3152004400
  • Spanner - size 13-17
  • Torque wrench

1. Turn OFF the external power supply.

2. Check no vehicle is plugged into any of the charging points and that there is no risk of voltage back feed.

3. Open the left and right side doors and lock them in place with their door latches.

4. Turn the charger off with the RCBO1 and pull out the main fuses from the input.

6. Locate the cables to be replaced in the upper section of the charger.

7. In order to replace the cable, cable wires must, first, be disconnected from several points:

  • Plus (+ positive) cable from copper bar
  • Minus (- negative) cable from diode
  • Grounding cable from grounding point
  • Cable held in position with a clamp - as shown with an arrow (in Figure 3.)
  • Communication connector from bottom right corner

8. From the inside the charger, loosen the cable glands that attach the cables to the doors and pull out the whole cable.

9. Install the new cable and reverse the steps.

10. Use the correct torque rating when tightening the cable to the busbar as shown.
